About Me
I started piano lessons at six, attended the Kent Junior Music School, and went on to study at the Royal College of Music with Phyllis Sellick. I gained the Performers' ARCM and the Teachers' ARCM in Pianoforte, and gained a Certificate in Education (Music) at Christ Church College, Canterbury.
I developed a career as both a visiting piano teacher in schools and a private teacher. I was Head of Faculty for Piano at Kent Music West Region during the 90s and also taught pupils for the Kent Music Academy.
With a wealth of experience in playing and teaching the piano, I am keen to share my love of the piano and keyboard, and their rich and varied repertoire. I am happy to explore classical, jazz and popular repertoire with students. I aim at providing a supportive learning environment where progress is made securely and at a pace suited to the individual student.
